Mr. Edward Kieswetter, the Commissioner for the South African Revenue Service (SARS) invites interested parties to participate in a market engagement session on our Modernisation Programme and to onboard participants to the SARS Market Place Collaboration Platform.
About the Modernisation Programme
SARS is progressing the next phase of its modernisation journey—transforming the Tax Administration Platform into an intelligent, digital system enabled by data science and artificial intelligence. This transformation aims to foster trust and transparency, promote efficiency, and revolutionise how taxpayers and traders interact with SARS, thereby driving voluntary compliance in a digital‑first environment.
Purpose of this Engagement
This market engagement seeks to supplement SARS’ capacity and capabilities through partnerships with qualified suppliers and service providers. It will provide clarity on upcoming opportunities, capability requirements, and the process for participating in the Modernisation Programme via the SARS Market Place Collaboration Platform.
